For real I'm just tired.
Like now more than before.
It just hit me this weekend. I think Jesse grew an entire pound in three days.
I look and feel gigantic and my walking days are over.
I'm not talking about exercise walking, I'm talking normal everyday need to walk to the bathroom walking..
The marriage retreat we went on this weekend was great. Our Sunday school teachers from when we were newlyweds put it on and it was so fun and so refreshing!
We stayed at a conference center near Asheville, which is one of my favorite cities for shopping and eating. We ate at The Market Place, it was delicious, and quiet and just what I needed.
Of course we skipped the dessert menu (I thought about having it twice) and headed over to my favorite place in the universe The French Broad Chocolate Lounge.
And much to my horror and Benji's horror (He more so afraid of my reaction) THEY were out of the chocolate creme brulee that I DREAM of.
So we were forced to try something different.
Which of course was divine as well. We had a caramel/dark chocolate mousse and a lavender creme brulee. I don't think anything that is made in a "local chocolate lounge" could be bad....
We are back home now. I have one more day of traveling, home for my nephew's birthday on Saturday, then I am home bound and happy to be on the couch until Jesse's arrival.

He Did This!

Every time I can't sleep, or I have reflux because of this massive baby I think about THIS day...it was the start of it ALL!!!! Hahhaha.
No seriously, we just got a new printer that scans and prints and copies.
Benji spent literally SIX hours tonight trying to hook it up so I could put it to use.
I love him.
And I thought this picture was fitting to be the first one scanned in. I've always hated that we got married before their was such a thing as digital photos! I'm always so jealous of people with wedding photos on facebook.
We also are going on our first marriage retreat this weekend. I'm super excited about it since it will be our last chance to get away alone for awhile.
Trust me there will be plenty more photos scanned in. All you ZTA's better watch out. Your time is coming!

Dana's Kitchen
My wonderful sister and my friend Dana gave me the most adorable shower.
At Dana's house, which has the best kitchen ever! I am so green with envy every time I step foot in her kitchen.
We had a great time, I got some adorable gifts and DIAPERS!
Thanks to Kathi and Dana for hosting a great time. I got to see friends and their babies and talk with women and family who've known Benji and I for years.
I am blessed. And I am officially stocked up and ready for Jesse.

Crawl The Line

I'm pretty stinkin excited about having a boy to dress. :)
It's fun to dress girls, of course, but boys get cool stuff like this onesie I found.
Benji got all of the baby stuff out of the attic today and said, "it seems like just yesterday I was putting this all up...it goes by so fast!"
It really does seem like Emery was tiny enough to sit in the bouncy seat just yesterday.
I've got a mental list raging in my head that I've got to write down ASAP. I can't remember anything these days and I've got so much to think about and do before the big day.
I'm having a really hard time walking this week! I'm not sure if the baby has dropped finally and that is what is causing all the pain and pressure or if it's just because it's the end...I totally did not have this issue with Emery. It may be that my muscles aren't as tight since this is the second??? Who knows, It's very very frustrating! I literally can barely put my pants on because of the pain and pressure when I lift my legs.
Come on February 23rd!

Jesse's First Shower
Had my first shower last night with my GNO friends.
As usual we had a blast, talked non stop, ate a ton of food and I got to be showered with gifts!
I had a really hard day yesterday, so coming together with friends who lend an ear without being judgemental was just what I needed to restore my soul.
I thank God for these girls and can't wait for them to meet Jesse.

Her Smile
Ya'll for real. How do I not have a heart attack every time this child smiles at me??
She's been smiling since she was born as you can see. My sister got the first one (She's the fun one remember!)
Emery, I hope you never quit smiling.

Confessions of A Fat Pregnant Girl
This weekend was my "solo-moon"...meaning probably my last few days by myself for...oh the rest of my life!
Benji went to West Virginia on a ski trip with his youth. Emery spent the weekend with grandparents and I'm hanging with Vance, on the couch, in front of the T.V.
I tried to get out of the house today since I've been stuck here since last Sunday b/c of the ice and snow.
(side note: Greenville only has like 8 snow plows, THAT'S why they can't get the roads clear and why we've been stuck. Not because we are all southerners and don't know how to drive.)
Any way, today reminded me of why sometimes I hate Target, I mean really really hate. Today was like the week before Christmas in there AND on the roads
(side note 2: b/c everyone else has been stuck, they decided to go to Target too.)
Target is always way under staffed. I had a few things I was gonna buy for the fun of it, but the 4 lanes that were open were like 7 people deep!
No thank you Target.
I also dislike them because their return policy stinks.
I'll be 34 weeks on Monday. Getting down to game time! I'm super super excited about having a baby around again. I can't wait to hold him and cuddle, even though I know how crazy and sleep deprived I'm going to be.
I'm also looking forward to doing something about my frumpiness once this baby comes. I'm serious people. I don't think I've ever felt so dumpy, plain, boring.
I liked my darker hair for awhile, I think in the summer it was a good compliment to my tan. But now I just look BORING!
Never underestimate the power of good highlights and Crest White Strips.
It amazes me that some people have never used White Strips....or even thought, hmmm maybe I should...
Okay, enough rambling. I've actually been quite bored today with the house to myself.
Oh there is plenty I could be doing but when I walk I have a pain in my, well, my....well you know.
It feels like the baby is going to fall out. Which is totally normal at this stage but it's still uncomfortable, so all that stuff I could be doing I just think about while I sit on the couch, letting Jesse "simmer and cook" for another 5 weeks.
