Happiest Valentines day!

My cup runs over yall.

I am so so blessed and I try to never take it for granted a single day. Even on the toughest days I realize how fortunate I am to have Benji, Emery, Jesse AND even Vance in my life.

These days with little ones are trying and sometimes never ending, but I always take time at the end of each day to thank God that he allows me to raise my child myself in our home.

It is hard, it is financially straining but worth it to me.

Benji is the love of my lifetime and I am so so grateful that we found each other. I know there are few men like him out there.

With all that said, we are laying low today! Emery and I went and did some last minute shopping for Jesse (thanks to the gift cards from yesterdays church shower).

Now it is nap time. I got the windows open and I'm ready to rest on this beautiful day.

Oh and nine days until Jesse comes, in case you were counting. :)

A Day in the Life of Woody

Benji LOVES his job. For some reason that I still don't completely understand some of the staff members he works with REALLY really love to dress in costume.

I'm pretty sure this is the 3rd time in 2+ years I've seen Benji walk out the door for work dressed as something other than himself! ha!

Our church kicked off our Forty Days of Community study a few Sundays ago with a showing of Toy Story 3.

Buzz, Jessie and Woody JUST had to be there! They showed up so that all the kids could get their picture taken. There were a ton of little kiddies so excited to see them! They lined up like they were waiting on Santa. :)

30 Something Weeks

Honestly I can't remember right now how many weeks I am and finding out would require me getting up off the couch, which just aint gonna happen!

Okay well that was yesterday, the phone rang, I talked, and then I couldn't even remember why I started this post in the first place.

Oh pregnancy brain is in full effect.

You know that is a real condition in pregnancy? Not just made up stuff here!

I've officially given my brain over to thinking about nothing but this baby. Oh and I'll be 38 weeks on Monday. 12 days left until the big day.

I thought that this weekend would be reserved for finishing up last minute details, but Benji thought today was a great day for golf...So once again another day will go by without the nursery finished....sigh... poor second child. Emery's nursery was done at like 28 weeks! Ha! Jesse's nursery is now knocking on the door of week 38 and still nothing on the walls. :(

Last night I was awake from 3 until 6 with outrageous reflux/ heartburn. It's not really heartburn because it feels like acid in my throat, but I guess it's really all the same.

Yes I take reflux medicine. Prevacid 24 hour, only it's now lasting about 12 hours max. I find that if I eat later in the evening that it is better. Weird I know, but last night we ate pretty early so Benji could go to a basketball game. I KNEW I should have had some ice cream right before bed! Ha!

I dreamed about the baby for the first time last night as well. That and the reflux made for a restless night.

I dreamed that we brought him home and I could find NO BOTTLES anywhere to feed him.

Bottles are the one thing on my list I made Benji check off before he left for his man day of golf this morning. They were up in the attic somewhere, impossible for me to climb into at this stage in the game. He found them, I'll wash them today, and hopefully sleep dream free tonight. :)

Bottles, yes bottles, not boobs. No breast feeding going on here in this house.

Feel free to judge if you want. My sanity is more important than other's opinions and a sane mama equals a happy, healthy baby. I wish more women would support each other instead of passing judgement.

Yes I realize breast milk is optimal.

I also realize a non medicated, vaginal birth, next to a cool brisk stream on top of mossy rocks is optimal too, but ya know what? Emery's C-section saved her life and mine.

If I had been stubborn and selfish and insisted that my doctor wait for me to labor, we'd be D.E.A.D.

I wish mothers would grow up and get over themselves. Sometimes the best thing to do isn't always the most trendy or popular.

A healthy mom and a healthy baby are most important.

There's my soap box. Thank ya very much. Now on to that 'to do list'.....

"You're Finally Acting Pregnant!"

....That's what Benji said to me today when I walked in the house with Bugles, Spicy Cheese-its, Peanut Butter Oreos, gummy worms, Jello and Gatorade...haha

I told him it was because, "I'm over it and my defenses are down finally."

I've tried to be really good this time, only gaining 25 lbs. But I'm just tired.

This picture is hilarious I think.

Just me in my element. Gettin some food at Asher's birthday party. I got no shame people. I'm embracing my size for two more weeks.

Not only am I fat, I'm also emotionally depleted. Only mothers can understand how much anxiety and worry comes with bringing a new life into the world and then having to care for that life.

Last night when Emery woke up with a fever I was SURE she had Meningitis.

Seriously, what's wrong with me! I mean it was 2 in the morning, but it wasn't even that high, 99.7...but I was so afraid to put her back in her own bed. I was afraid she'd have a febrile seizure or worse. I kept checking on her until I knew her fever was down from the Tylenol.

I even asked her if she wanted to get in the bed with me, which is a huge deal, we NEVER ever let her do that.

Of course she said "no, I want to get in my bed" haha. So I didn't push it and just put her back in her bed. And stayed up until about 4 worried about seizures and brain swelling.

Good gracious, sometimes I wish I was a man! Please tell me I'm not crazy and that most moms do this....

Asher's Buggy Bday

Emery started running a fever last night before bed and then woke up around 2 (once the Motrin had worn off) with it again.

Please please please pray that this is just a virus and not the F word.

We BOTH had the flu shot but she had the shot last year too and still came down with the flu.

I can not get the flu! I'm having a baby in 17 days! I'm pretty sure they won't do a C-section on a mama running a fever, right?

Anyway, she's playing pretty good this morning, we stayed home from church, so hopefully it's just a teeny tiny cold...

This weekend we got to celebrate my nephew Asher's 2nd birthday. My sister is the bomb diggity when it comes to throwing parties.

I buy a cake from Publix and pink plates, SHE hand makes invitations, party favors, has cute crafts for guest to do, hand makes a cake special for Asher AND one for the guests. She basically puts everyone to shame! I totally think she should be a party planner. Asher's nick name is 'Ash bug' so this year his party theme was bugs. It was adorable and so fun.

We had a great time partying it up with all Asher's friends. It was our last trip to Georgia before Jesse comes!
