Monday is our Sunday. Well, for Emery and I anyway.
Sunday is usually so crammed packed that on Monday we just take it easy around the house. I try not to leave the house if possible on Mondays. Everyone needs a sabbath, a day of rest and so I try to make Monday that for me and the boo boo.
Here's what our Sunday looks like:
Benji usually gets up before 7, gets ready and heads to his office for last minutes "stuff" before the a.m.
Emery and I wake up around 8, I have to feed her, dress her, get the dog outside to do his business
(Now that I'm knocked up I have to feed myself as well)but that doesn't always happen.
TRY to make some coffee- which also doesn't always happen
TRY to get myself presentable enough to be the wife of the youth pastor, which, you guessed it doesn't always happen either! I always know it's been awhile since I've accomplished this when I finally here from my small group, "wow Kristi, you look really nice today"....haha as in, "wow! I forgot what you looked liked with makeup on"....
I drop Emery off around 9:15 for her Sunday School class on one side of the church, then I truck it over to the other side to lead my small group of high school girls...(hey it is a big church it is a long walk)
Benji speaks until 10 then we break into small groups until 1030.
Then we head over to Worship service.
At 12 I go and get Emery out of the nursery while Benji "socializes".
Emery is usually wiped out by then so we head home for nap and lunch. She usually falls asleep in the car before we get home, and it's only like a 5 minute drive!
We get home around 1230 or 1pm...depending on how much talking Benji did after church.
Benji and I eat while Emery naps. Then hopefully I'll nap (in the bed. I don't play games with nap time. No couch for me).
Benji will probably nap a little on the couch while flipping through sports channels.
Emery wakes up around 2 or 3, we'll feed her, go outside with her, or play inside.
I'll try and get something prepared for dinner to eat after service.
Benji may head back over to church a little early, but most times around 545 we'll head back to church...
Emery goes back in the nursery for service at 6.
7pm I pick her up, we head home have dinner.
Do the bath thing, play a little, maybe read a book then it's bed time for the boo boo!
Whew! and that's a Sunday for us!
Wednesday's are just as fun and crazy. Such is the life of a ministers kid.
