Thanks For The Gas

Well, have you ever thought about how weird it is to buy a used house.

You know, like a house that's not new, that someone has previously lived in. It's kind of weird.

I stinkin LOVE our house. I love our location, our back yard, it's curbside appeal. If we only had one extra bedroom we'd probably stay here forever.

But we bought our home from an old, old lady. Her husband had recently died, and it kind of creeps me out late at night when I can't sleep, and I keep thinking about how maybe that old man died in the very room I'm sleeping in......

Any way, we recently found a new, never used propane tank, the kind for gas grills. We found it in our back yard inside of an old trash can they left. It still had the blue seal, never been used. So when we ran out of gas recently we just hooked it up and it worked perfectly.

It makes me kind of sad to think of all the life that old couple had left to live when the man passed away. They still had a tank of gas ready for the summer of grilling.

I wish I could tell that old man now that we are here. Loving every part of this house. Taking care of this house.

That we are living. Really living each day to the fullest, in this house.

That Emery loves the back yard. She would stay out all day if I let her.

I wish I could tell him thanks for the gas tank.

We found it, and we are putting it to good use.
